just two hours after getting married, Nikesh died.
A wedding is supposed to be a happy occasion but in this case, it turned into tragedy after the Indian bride died suddenly.
The incident happened in Haryana on February 25, 2020.
Prior to Nikesh’s death, a car accident resulted in several injuries and a death.
The groom, Ravin, had organised a car to pick up his bride. However, on the way, the wedding procession vehicle was involved in an accident.
Ravin’s nephew was killed. Despite the accident, the wedding went ahead but just a few hours later, the bride, Nikesh, died.
Ravin worked as an engineer in Dubai. On February 19, 2020, he travelled to his home village of Gularpur to organise his wedding to Nikesh.
On the day of the marriage, a wedding procession car went to pick up Nikesh at her home in Jolly village.
But, whilst on the way, the car was involved in a crash, killing Ravin’s nephew Sahil and injuring three of his friends.
Both families heard about the accident. They decided that the marriage should go ahead, but it should be a simple ceremony.
At around 7 pm, the Indian bride turned up at her in-laws’ home and the ceremony took place.
However, just two hours after getting married, Nikesh died. It is believed that she died of shock after hearing about Sahil’s death.
According to Ravin’s grandfather Antram, Nikesh was very upset after hearing about the car accident.
Throughout the day, she kept telling her soon-to-be mother-in-law that she treated Sahil like her own son. It was revealed that Nikesh was like a mother to Sahil after his own mother died when he was younger.
Leading up to her marriage, Nikesh remained shocked as she could not believe that Sahil died.
Antram explained that the accident was the only thing Nikesh talked about on the day, refusing to believe that her nephew was dead.
Just before 9 pm, Nikesh went upstairs to change her dress. When she returned, she sat next to her mother-in-law and several other women.
At that point, she began feeling hot and she started sweating. Nikesh continued feeling ill and she eventually collapsed.
Her in-laws rushed her to the hospital but a short while later, the doctors declared her dead.
Nikesh worked for a multinational company in Gurgaon after she obtained a computer science diploma. After their marriage, Nikesh and Ravin were supposed to move to Dubai.
Ravin’s younger brother Manish resided in Canada and had travelled to India for the marriage.
On February 26, 2020, Nikesh’s funeral took place in the morning. A post-mortem was conducted on Sahil’s body after which, his funeral took place on the same day at 3 pm.
