Navjot Singh Sidhu and Malaika Arora recently shared a delightful and playful reunion on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
The two stars recently appeared as judges together for the eleventh season of the popular show India’s Got Talent.
During the latest episode, host Kapil Sharma facilitated a conversation where both celebrities expressed deep admiration for each other.
Navjot Singh Sidhu specifically highlighted the glamorous actress’s personality and impressive work ethic during the lively television broadcast.
He remarked that she remains very grounded despite her massive success and status as a major Indian celebrity today.
“The most important thing is that she has hitched her wagon to the stars. But her feet are firmly on the ground.
“I’ve never seen a more grounded celebrity.”
The former cricketer also praised her discipline, noting her strict schedule for eating her daily meals.
He jokingly mentioned that she travels with an entourage of 56 people while maintaining her professional daily routine.
In a warm and lighthearted moment, Sidhu hugged Malaika while expressing his sincere affection for the star.
“My love for her is such that she can never disappoint me, however much she tries throughout her life.”
Malaika Arora responded very warmly to these comments and spoke about the beautiful friendship they developed while filming their show.
She revealed that she does not call him by his formal title but instead uses a very affectionate nickname.
“Not Sidhu ji, I fondly call him Sherry. He’s the world’s most genuine, true and dildaar (generous), and most amazing human being.”
The actress mentioned that she learned many small but important lessons about life and cricket from him during production.
She confessed that finding such a true friend at this stage of her life was quite unexpected but meaningful.
“They say after a certain age, you don’t make new friends. l’ve made a true friend in Sherry.”
Host Kapil Sharma ensured the atmosphere remained funny by cracking jokes about Sidhu putting his phone on flight mode.
The comedian suggested that the former athlete was trying to avoid a call from his wife named Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
Kapil later asked Malaika if being good or being mischievous was more important for a person in their life.
Sidhu quickly chimed in to say that Malaika is actually very mischievous in ways that he simply cannot describe.
“Malaika ma’am is very mischievous, l can’t tell you how much.”
Kapil jokingly added that her own mother might not even know her personality as well as the cricketer does.
Malaika Arora had previously served as a judge for seasons four through eight before taking a long break from the show.
She finally made her highly anticipated return to the judging chair after a significant gap of seven long years.
