"Good luck with spreading hate in the name of religion."
Daisy Shah recently hit back at social media trolls who tried to criticise her for preparing an iftar meal.
The controversy began when a video of the actress cooking malpua for a festive gathering surfaced on the internet.
Users tried to link her cooking to her past objections regarding the use of loud and dangerous firecrackers.
One critic wrote: “Meet Daisy Shah. She has a problem with firecrackers, but she visits Iftaar parties and cooks there as well.”
Daisy quickly dismissed this comparison and called out the attempt to spread hatred in the name of her religion.
She responded: “Fire Crackers and cooking food are completely different from each other.
“Good luck with spreading hate in the name of religion. I hope you get well soon.”
The actress stood her ground against those who attempted to target her for her personal choices.
In 2025, Daisy shared a video criticising a political party for bursting crackers during an election campaign event.
She claimed that those specific crackers triggered a fire inside a residential apartment located right next to her home.
The actress was seen standing outside the building and pointing toward the flat where the fire had broken out.
She explained that the election campaigners had been bursting fireworks on the street as part of their political activities.
She expressed deep concern that people often ignore the significant risks involved with such dangerous and loud celebratory actions.
The actress also blamed irresponsible authorities for allowing such behaviour during these busy campaign events in the local area.

She questioned the lack of civic sense among the crowd of around two hundred people gathered in Bandra East.
According to Daisy, the group quickly left the area as soon as the fire broke out in the building.
She was even seen asking nearby residents if the fire brigade had been informed about the ongoing emergency.
The actress highlighted that rockets were being launched simply because elections were taking place in that specific Mumbai neighbourhood.
This experience shaped her views on the safety hazards posed by firecrackers in crowded and residential urban spaces.
However, the troll tried to twist her valid safety concerns into a religious issue by mentioning the iftar party.
Daisy Shah’s response has garnered support from many fans who appreciate her direct and very sensible approach to online negativity.
