The announcement comes just one day before the original Perth date.

Karan Aujla has postponed his Perth concert after delays with the approval of his Australian visa.

The Punjabi singer was due to perform at RAC Arena on Thursday, August 13, as part of his P-Pop Culture World Tour.

Aujla announced the postponement on social media, confirming that the Perth concert will now take place on Monday, August 24.

He apologised to fans for the change and asked ticket holders to hold on to their tickets.

The announcement comes just one day before the original Perth date.

The Australia Today reports that the visa delay may be linked to an apparent case of mistaken identity, as Aujla’s full name is Jaskaran Singh Aujla.

Reports claim Australian authorities flagged his visa application after apparently linking him to another person with the same name.

That individual is reportedly based in Ontario and has been involved in a separate criminal case.

Aujla’s representatives have raised concerns about the apparent mix-up, pointing out differences between the two individuals.

Aujla lives in British Columbia and has previously performed in Australia without reported visa problems.

He also toured Australia in 2024.

The visa issue has now affected the singer’s Australian tour schedule, with his Perth performance being the first show to be officially postponed.

The P-Pop Culture tour was originally scheduled to take Aujla across five Australian cities.

Following Perth, he was due to perform in Adelaide on August 16, Melbourne on August 18 and 19, Sydney on August 21 and Brisbane on August 23.

Reports indicate that the status of some of the remaining Australian dates remains uncertain while the visa situation is resolved.

The Australian tour follows a major period of international success for Aujla, who has become one of the most recognisable artists in contemporary Punjabi music.

His P-Pop Culture tour has attracted significant interest among Punjabi music fans, with performances planned across Australia and New Zealand.

The Perth show is now scheduled for August 24 at RAC Arena.

The venue has confirmed that tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid for the rescheduled performance.

The postponement has left fans waiting for further updates about whether Aujla will be able to continue with the rest of his Australian dates as planned.

For now, fans attending the Perth concert have been asked to retain their original tickets and await further information from the organisers.

The singer’s team has not indicated that the Perth concert has been cancelled, meaning fans can currently expect the event to go ahead on the new August 24 date, subject to the visa situation being resolved for the time being.
