"She always acts like she is some Queen or top-notch actress."

Mariyam Nafees defiantly responded to those who criticised her for displaying her baby bump on social media.

The actress shared a festive video of herself getting into the holiday spirit and going shopping in London.

In the video, Mariyam was dressed in a black bodycon dress.

Although the video was meant to showcase Mariyam’s Christmas shopping trip, much of the attention was on her baby bump.

Many trolled the actress for “brazenly” flaunting her baby bump.

Some objected to her choice of clothing, claiming it was inappropriate.

Others questioned why a Muslim actress would wish her followers a Merry Christmas.

A few even raised concerns about her wearing heels during pregnancy, with one writing:

“Don’t wear high heels when you are pregnant. Stay safe and careful.”

One user bluntly commented: “You should be ashamed.”

A comment read: “She always acts like she is some Queen or top-notch actress.

“In reality, she is just an ordinary loudmouth actress with lots of attitude.”

To people’s surprise, the actress did not hold back, clapping back at her haters with savage responses.

Mariyam responded to one troll: “You too, why are you so idle? Go do something.”

When another judged her for wishing people a Merry Christmas, Mariyam hit back:

“Send the correct meaning by Googling it.”

Not one to back down, Mariyam also addressed the backlash in an Instagram Story, calling out the hypocrisy of her critics.

She wrote: “Pakistani awaam getting triggered seeing a bump as if they were dropped from the skies like they were told as toddlers.

“If you have a problem seeing a bump, unfollow and move on because I will be showing A LOT of it!”

The actress expressed pride in her pregnancy, sharing her amazement at what the human body can do.

“I’m proud and amazed at what my/our body is capable of and I don’t shy away from flaunting it.”

Mariyam made it clear that she’s embracing this phase of her life unapologetically and won’t shy away from sharing it with her followers.

While many applauded Mariyam Nafees’ for the way she stood up for herself, others felt she was crossing cultural boundaries.

They accused her of ignoring societal norms, arguing that doing all this in a conservative society like Pakistan was unnecessary.
