Rising Australian singer Dhee has teamed up with KATSEYE’s Lara Raj for a new remix of her Tamil single ‘Vari Vari’.
Originally released in April 2026, the emotive track has amassed more than 33 million global streams.
The new remix brings a high-energy, club-ready sound to the song while retaining its emotional and cultural core.
The collaboration also celebrates the connection between two Tamil women on the global music stage, with Lara adding her own energy to the dancefloor-focused rework.
Speaking about the collaboration, Dhee said: “Working with Lara on the remix was such a fun and special experience.
“We had the best time in the room, and I think you can hear that energy in the song. I definitely recommend listening to it loud in the car.
“For me, the remix also represents sisterhood and the joy of two Tamil women coming together to create something.
“It’s playful and makes you want to dance, but it still holds on to the earnestness of the original.”
The release marks another milestone in Dhee’s growing international career, following a string of high-profile collaborations and hugely successful Tamil songs.
Born and raised in Sydney, Dhee later relocated to Chennai, where she began establishing herself within the Tamil music industry.
She contributed ‘Naan Nee’ to the 2014 Indian action drama Madras before recording songs for films including Irudhi Suttru in 2016 and Kaala in 2018.
However, her profile grew significantly after she performed ‘Rowdy Baby’ for Maari 2 in 2018 alongside Dhanush. The song became a global phenomenon, with its music video surpassing 1.7 billion views on YouTube.
In 2021, Dhee collaborated with Santhosh Narayanan on ‘Enjoy Enjaami’, which has accumulated more than 52.5 million Spotify streams.
Her international profile continued to grow in 2026 when she featured on H&M’s ‘Red Stage’, where she joined Grammy Award-nominated R&B artist GIVEON and rising star Absolutely.
For the collaboration, Dhee reworked GIVEON’s ‘Like I Want You’, incorporating Indian musical influences into the track.
She has also worked with artists including Ed Sheeran, WondaGurl and Tiwa Savage, further establishing her as a distinctive voice connecting Tamil music with a global audience.
Her collaboration with Lara Raj comes as both artists continue to build international careers while drawing on their Tamil heritage.
The ‘Vari Vari’ remix offers a new interpretation of Dhee’s original, pairing its emotional foundations with a more energetic sound designed for the dancefloor.
