Take That will perform in India for the first time at Prince William’s Earthshot Prize Awards Night in Mumbai in November 2026.

The British pop band will take to the stage at the 2026 ceremony on November 17, alongside global stars from music, film and sport.

Founded by Prince William, the event will celebrate environmental innovators and their efforts to tackle some of the planet’s biggest challenges.

The performance will come just three days before the release of Take That’s upcoming album, Dreamers, on November 20. The record will mark the band’s 10th studio album.

Speaking about their debut performance in India, Take That said:

“We’ve been lucky enough to perform in some incredible places around the world over the past 35 years, but India is somewhere we’ve always dreamed of bringing our music.

“To be performing here for the very first time, after all these years, and alongside the extraordinary people creating a better future for our planet – is really special.

“As we’ve seen the world over, music has an exquisite way of bringing people together, and we can’t wait to share that magic with The Earthshot Prize and the world from Mumbai.

“We’re ready for a night we’ll never forget.”

Indian composer and music producer Shashwat Sachdev will also perform at the ceremony, providing the soundtrack for the show’s finale.

The two-time National Award winner is known for his work on the Dhurandhar franchise. He also collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the theme for the BBC series Virdee.

The performers will join an international line-up of notable guests, including Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, actress Alia Bhatt, actor Rami Malek, singer Shreya Ghoshal, actress Sonam Kapoor and Bridgerton star Simone Ashley.

Renowned Indian filmmaker Karan Johar will host the Awards Night, while Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha will also attend.

Sponsored by the Serum Institute of India, the event is expected to welcome 5,000 distinguished guests to Mumbai.

Jason Knauf, chief executive of The Earthshot Prize, said:

“This year in Mumbai, we’re telling the biggest story in the world.”

“It’s a story of the immense challenges facing our planet, but also the amazing progress that extraordinary people, scientists, innovators, activists and leaders, can make possible.

“2026 will be the biggest and best Earthshot Prize Awards Night yet, and we’re thrilled to have music legends Take That join us in Mumbai to celebrate the people who drive forward The Earthshot Prize’s mission.”

This year’s 15 finalists represent a range of environmental solutions, drawing on Indigenous and community knowledge, corporate initiatives and artificial intelligence-powered climate technology.

Five winners will be announced at the ceremony, with one selected in each of the prize’s five categories: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World and Fix Our Climate.

Each winner will receive £1 million to help advance or scale their environmental solution, supporting The Earthshot Prize’s mission to find and expand practical responses to the planet’s most pressing environmental problems.
