Simone Ashley and Alia Bhatt will be part of a star-studded lineup for the 2026 Earthshot Prize, which will take place in Mumbai on November 17.
Sachin Tendulkar, Rami Malek and Sonam Kapoor will join host Karan Johar at the event, while Shreya Ghoshal will perform.
Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha will also attend, alongside around 5,000 distinguished guests.
The event, sponsored by the Serum Institute of India, will celebrate environmental leaders from around the world, with more participants set to be announced in the coming weeks.
For the first time, the ceremony will be streamed on Prime Video, reaching audiences across more than 240 countries and territories in more than 40 languages.
Founded by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize aims to drive environmental action over a decade.
The 2026 Awards Night will honour scientists, entrepreneurs, community changemakers, Indigenous leaders and young innovators working on some of the world’s most urgent environmental challenges.
Karan Johar said: “To host The Earthshot Prize Awards in Mumbai is a privilege that fills me with immense pride.

Simone Ashley, who will also be singing at the event, said:

Alia Bhatt added: “The Earthshot Prize is really about hope… but hope that comes with ideas, action and people who are finding new ways forward. That’s what makes it so inspiring to be a part of.
“There are people across the world doing incredible work to protect and repair our planet, often in ways we may never have imagined.
“And to have Mumbai bring all these people together feels very special.

Rami Malek added: “We need stories of hope, people who show us that change is possible.
“The Earthshot Prize Finalists embody this spirit, meeting the urgency of this moment with action. It’s an honour to be in Mumbai to celebrate their outstanding achievements.”
The 15 Earthshot Finalists represent environmental work ranging from Indigenous and community knowledge to corporate initiatives and AI-powered climate technology.
Five winners will be announced across the Prize’s five categories: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate.
Each winner will receive a £1 million award to help advance or scale their solution.
