"This track oozes summer and a funk that I couldn't get out of my head."
Simone Ashley has teamed up with rising musician Charlie Jeer on their uplifting new single, ‘SO GOOD’.
Released on July 10, 2026, the track blends disco-inspired production with feel-good pop, creating a nostalgic soundtrack designed to capture the spirit of summer.
The collaboration arrives as Charlie Jeer continues his rapid rise within the UK music scene, while Simone expands her growing music career following the release of her debut EP, Songs I Wrote In New York.
Produced by Ben Stancombe, ‘SO GOOD’ combines Charlie Jeer’s signature saxophone with upbeat rhythms and melodies.
The song aims to spread optimism through its nostalgic sound, drawing inspiration from an era that Charlie believes felt “much simpler”.
Speaking about the release, Charlie Jeer said: “I wanted to make a song that spreads positivity and joy into the world. ‘SO GOOD’ was written just for that purpose.
“Having Simone Ashley on the record is such a privilege. She added so much life and energy into the song, and I’m grateful to work with such incredible people.
“We wanted to create a sonic palette that nods to a time where the world felt much simpler, echoing disco nostalgia.”
Simone also shared her excitement about working with the 23-year-old artist.
She said: “When I was first introduced to Charlie and his work, I wasn’t just drawn to his undeniable talent, but his sense of dreaming big.
“I think it’s really important to surround yourself with like-minded creatives who want to achieve their dreams and motivate the people around them.
“This track oozes summer and a funk that I couldn’t get out of my head.”
She added that creating both the song and its accompanying music video had given her “wonderful memories” and expressed excitement about what lies ahead for both artists.
Although widely recognised for her acting roles, music has always played an important part in Simone Ashley’s creative life.
