"They have both moved on."
Actor Navika Kotia has called off her engagement to Pune-based businessman Mazen Mody.
The couple had gotten engaged back in January 2026 and had been planning to get married sometime in 2027.
However, things did not work out between the two over time.
They reportedly decided to part ways mutually in early July this year.
According to a report, the decision was taken without any hard feelings.
A source said that the engagement had been an arranged match initially.
“It was an arranged match.
“They had performed the gol dhana ceremony in January and were planning to tie the knot next year.
“However, they started facing issues and realised they were very different from each other.”
The source added: “So they decided to part ways.
“There is no negativity surrounding the breakup, and they have both moved on.”
Navika has since removed pictures from her engagement ceremony from her social media accounts.
The reported reasons included compatibility issues, differing priorities and expectations from life.
The two were originally introduced through a mutual friend before their engagement.
They had known each other for about a year before their families discussed marriage.
In an interview with HT City, Navika had earlier spoken about how they met:
“We were introduced via friends and maintained a basic acquaintance until I had a chance to meet his parents twice.
“This led them to call my mother and ask for my hand for Mazen, and I was like, ‘Where did he come from?’
“But as I have always wanted my parents to take the call for my marriage, this was the perfect fit.
“It took some time, but as I have known him, I had to say yes. And we had a small roka in November.”
Following reports of the broken engagement, Mazen is now reportedly in a new relationship.
He is currently linked to actor Ritika Badiani, as per his social media updates.
Navika began her acting career as a child artist on Indian television.
The actor gained wider recognition after playing Sridevi’s daughter in English Vinglish, released in 2012.
She later took an eight-year break from acting to concentrate on her studies.
Navika Kotia returned to television in 2022 with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
