Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag has been announced as the new host of Amazon Prime Video’s Rise & Fall Season 2.
The cricketer replaces Ashneer Grover, who had hosted the show’s first season to considerable acclaim among Indian audiences.
Prime Video unveiled a first glimpse of the new season, featuring Sehwag in a playful, energetic promotional video.
The promo opens with Sehwag putting his own characteristic spin on life’s eternal ups and downs before stepping into the show’s unpredictable world.
Fans reacted with a mix of enthusiasm and amusement to the announcement.

Making his debut as a reality show host on a streaming platform, Sehwag spoke about what drew him to the format and what he expects from it:

Rise & Fall Season 2 is set across the contrasting worlds of a penthouse and a basement, a framework that drives the show’s central dramatic tension.
Fifteen celebrities will be divided into two groups known as the Rulers and the Workers, each navigating vastly different circumstances.
The Rulers enjoy the privileges and comfort of the penthouse while the Workers must navigate the considerably harsher realities of the basement.
