Kareena Kapoor Khan has reacted to trolls making negative comments about the names of her two children.
Kareena raises two sons, Taimur and Jeh, with her husband Saif Ali Khan, and has just released a new book titled Pregnancy Bible.
In her book, she reveals the full name of her second son – Jehangir Ali Khan.
Since the book’s release, Kareena has faced a wave of negative comments against her and her family over her son’s name.
Kareena and Saif Ali Khan faced the same backlash after announcing the name of their eldest son, four-year-old Taimur Ali Khan, back in 2016.
Now, she has finally hit back. According to Kareena Kapoor Khan, she just wants to spread positivity amongst the online hate.
She also said that meditation is the only solution for her. Speaking to India Today, Kareena said:
“You know I am a very, very positive person. I am very happy and content.
“I want to spread happiness and positivity in a time like Covid, I can’t think of trolls or any form of negativity.
“Now there is no other way, I have to start meditating. Because aur koi chaara nahi rah ana abhi (I have no other option).
“That’s just now because I am pushed against the wall so now I am like ‘ok, I will stay meditating’. There are two sides to a coin.
“So it’s okay. If there is positivity, there is negativity, I have to look at it like that.”
“I wish there wasn’t. Because we have two innocent children we are talking about. But we are going to stay happy and positive.”
Friends and family members of Kareena Kapoor Khan also took to social media to stand in solidarity with the Bollywood star.
Kareena’s friend, actress Swara Bhasker, tweeted about the controversy surrounding Kareena and Saif’s choices of names for their children.
In a tweet from Wednesday, August 11, 2021, Bhasker said:
“A couple names their children, and that couple is not you – but you have an opinion on what and why names are and that’s an issue in your mind; which hurts your feelings…
“So you are one of the biggest a******s in this world! #Jehangir #mindyourownbusiness”
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan has just made her book debut with the launch of her Pregnancy Bible.
She launched the book on Instagram with filmmaker Karan Johar on Monday, August 9, 2021.
