"Mr Johar, what do you do when you wake up?"

An upcoming episode of Koffee with Karan 8 saw Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt appear on the show.

In a promotional clip, Kareena appeared to troll and ignore host Karan Johar.

The clip started with Karan welcoming the two actresses on to his famous couch.

Alia commented: “This very controversial couch. ‘Controversial’ with a ‘K’.”

Kareena then seemed to take a dig at Karan.

Alia is married to Ranbir Kapoor – Kareena’s first cousin.

Karan asked what relation does that Kareena and Alia. Referencing Karan’s 2001 blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kareena replied:

“You should know. You made K3G.”

Kareena then jokingly asked in a sultry voice: “Mr Johar, what do you do when you wake up?”

Karan answered: “Ask me no secrets, I’ll tell you no lies.”

Karan then commented that Kareena had no photos of her pouting.

The actress quipped: “You more than me, I think.”

This caused Alia to burst into a giggle.

The Raazi star exclaimed: “She’s trolling you!”

During the ‘Rapid Fire’ segment, Karan asked Kareena:

“Do you consider Deepika Padukone as competition?”

In a lackadaisical manner, Kareena simply replied:

“I think this is Alia’s question for her rapid fire. Not for me.”

Karan then said: “You’ve come into line, haven’t you?”

Towards the end of the clip, Karan asked Kareena why she did not attend the Gadar 2 success party.

This was in relation to the grand party Sunny Deol held to celebrate the monumental success of Gadar 2 (2023).

The bash was attended by almost everyone from the industry. However, absent stars included Kareena Kapoor.

The film also starred Ameesha Patel as Sakeena ‘Sakku’ Ali Singh.

Questioning her absence from the party, Karan asked Kareena:

“Was it because you and Ameesha Patel have such history?”

Kareena rolled her eyes and asked: “What history?”

Karan mentioned: “You were meant to do Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai.”

Kareena looked away and said: “I’m ignoring Karan, as you can see.”

Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai (2000) marked the debuts of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel.

Incidentally, Kareena was signed for the female lead first but withdrew from the film shortly into filming.

She then debuted opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Refugee (2000).

This Koffee with Karan 8 episode will be available to stream on Disney+Hotstar on November 16, 2023.

Kareena is one of the few Bollywood celebrities to have appeared on every single season of Koffee with Karan since its inception.

Alia Bhatt has appeared in every season since its fourth.

Future guests will also include Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor will next be seen in The Crew.
