The long-running issues between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan have come to an end as the pair shared a warm embrace at the Gadar 2 success party.
Sunny held a party in Mumbai to mark the film’s box office success and it was a star-studded bash.
Celebrities included the likes of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sara Ali Khan.
Also in attendance were Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan.
For the event, SRK wore a navy T-shirt under a grey jacket and black cargo trousers.
Meanwhile, Sunny was dressed in a black T-shirt, blue blazer and trousers.
A viral video from the event showed Sunny and Shah Rukh embracing each other and resting their heads next to each other, suggesting that all is well between them.
Smiling, they blew kisses and waved to the paparazzi before SRK escorted Sunny inside the venue.
The video thrilled fans as it signalled their differences had been set aside.
Reacting to the clip, one fan said:
“Felt good to see them both together.”
Another wrote: “Now Darr 2 will be made.”
A third commented: “Wonderful after a long time.”

The two actors reportedly had issues with each other, stemming from their 1993 film Darr.
Sunny Deol had expressed his displeasure over the way his character was portrayed in the film while SRK’s villainous Rahul Mehra was glorified.
Sunny previously said: “I had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried to explain that I am a commando officer in the film.
“My character is an expert and physically fit, so how can this boy easily defeat me? He can only defeat me if I can’t see him.
“If he can stab me while I’m looking at him, then I won’t be considered a commando.”
The two stars ended up not speaking for 16 years.
But in August 2023, Sunny revealed that Shah Rukh had called him to congratulate him on Gadar 2‘s success.
He said: “Shah Rukh Khan had seen the film. Before that, he had called me and wished me well.
“He was so happy, and he told me ‘I’m so happy, you genuinely deserve it’ and I said thank you.
“Then I spoke to his wife and his son. And he said tonight we are going to be watching this film.
“And after that, he had seen it, and I think that is when he tweeted.
“It was so beautiful. Many times I’ve also called him up and we shared our thoughts on certain things.”
Reflecting on the past issues, Sunny added:
“About the past issues – whatever they were, I would say time heals everything and we move ahead. That’s the way life should be.”
