"So rude not taking a picture in Chinatown"
Sanam Harrinanan was branded “so rude” by a fan after the Love Island winner turned down a photo request with them.
The social worker and Kai Fagan won the winter edition of the reality show at the start of 2023.
Sanam became a fan favourite on the show, however, one fan has claimed her popularity is getting the better of her.
The disgruntled fan had replied to Sanam’s Instagram Story and branded her “rude” for refusing to take a picture with them while comparing her and Kai to show favourites Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.
The fan wrote: “So rude not taking a picture in Chinatown – calm down love you’re not Tommy and Molly.”
But Sanam hit back, revealing that the fan had interrupted her during her meal.
She replied: “Are you the person that came up to us whilst we were eating our food?
“Because I only turned one person down because of that, so I’m assuming it’s you?”
She then wrote over the screenshot and expressed her frustration at being interrupted during a meal and conversation, emphasising she is happy to take pictures with fans at any other time.
Sanam wrote: “One thing about me… I will always happily take a picture with whoever asks because I wouldn’t be here without you guys but I will always say no if I am approached whilst I am sat down at a table eating food and in mid-conversation.
“I find it rude and invasive at that point.
“There’s a time and a place and it’s not whilst I’m sat with someone eating a meal and enjoying someone else’s presence.”
Sanam’s point was further made as she shared a few pictures of herself and Kai taking selfies with Love Island fans while they were out and about in London’s Chinatown.
The couple had been enjoying a date night in which they wandered around Chinatown and enjoyed a meal before heading to the cinema.
This comes after Kai sparked excitement when he shared a picture of Sanam wearing a silver ring.
The couple revealed they “made a promise” to each other – leading followers to speculate they were engaged.
In the snap, Sanam looked gorgeous in a busty blue bodice as she held out the sparkler for the camera and flashed a huge smile.
The pair then cuddled up for a cute snap with Kai captioning the post ‘A promise’ with a ring emoji.
Kai clarified it was only a promise ring, but teased that an engagement could still be on the cards, saying:
“Btw guys it’s a promise ring! The big one will come soon dw.”
