"the Winter Comedy Tour has become a much-loved tradition"
Guz Khan and Tez Ilyas are among the comedians set to perform in Birmingham as part of Human Appeal’s 12th annual Winter Comedy Tour.
The comedians will take to the stage at The New Bingley Hall on December 20, bringing an evening of stand-up comedy to the city in support of the charity’s orphan sponsorship programmes.
The UK-wide tour runs from December 11 to December 31, with performances taking place in cities and towns across the country.
It aims to raise funds to provide long-term care and support for orphaned children and their families around the world.
Razwan Faraz, associate director of fundraising at Human Appeal, said:
“Now in its 12th year, the Winter Comedy Tour has become a much-loved tradition, bringing people together for an evening of laughter with friends or family.
“It’s a chance to enjoy some brilliant live comedy while providing children with ongoing support and helping them and their families build a more secure future.”
This year’s line-up features Guz Khan, best known for his role in Man Like Mobeen. He also featured in the acclaimed Riz Ahmed series Bait.
Tez Ilyas, who presented The Tez O’Clock Show on Channel 4, is also part of the lineup.
They will be joined by comedian and writer Kae Kurd, broadcaster Aatif Nawaz, and Prince Abdi, who is recognised as one of the UK’s leading stand-up comedians.
The line-up also includes comedian, presenter and content creator Ali Official, online comedy star Smash Bengali, South African comedian and doctor Riaad Moosa, and Mic Diesel, who was shortlisted for the 2025 BBC New Comedy Awards.
Described as the largest comedy tour of its kind in the world, the event offers a full evening of live entertainment, with early bird tickets starting at £10. Family bundles and trio deals are also available.
Other stops on the tour include Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Dewsbury, Sheffield, Bradford, Blackburn, Manchester, Coventry, Leicester, Cardiff, Luton, Southall, Bedford, Croydon, East London, West London, Ilford, Slough and London.
Proceeds from ticket sales and audience donations will help fund Human Appeal’s orphan sponsorship programmes, which provide children with essential support including food, education, healthcare and emotional care.
The aim is to help orphaned children and their families build more secure futures while facing difficult circumstances.
Established in 1991, Manchester-based Human Appeal works in more than 30 countries, delivering emergency aid and long-term development programmes.
The charity also partners with international organisations, including the United Nations, to deliver targeted humanitarian support.
