The first look of the upcoming film Tagar has been unveiled, introducing Puja Cherry as the lead heroine.
Directed by Aalok Hasan, the film will feature Ador Azad opposite Puja, marking a fresh on-screen pairing.
Initially, Parthana Fardin Dighi was announced as the lead actress when the film was first revealed at the start of 2025.
However, before production began, Puja Cherry was confirmed to replace her.
The filming of Tagar is set to commence on February 25, 2025.
Other cast members also include Azad Abul Kalam, Rosey Siddiqui, Sumon Anwar and LR Khan Shimanto.
Speaking about her involvement in the film, Puja Cherry admitted she was initially hesitant due to the casting changes.
She explained: “I have worked with both the director and Ador Azad before.
“I was unsure about joining at first, but after reading the script, I found the story had a unique depth that intrigued me.”
Ador Azad also expressed excitement about his character, describing it as a departure from his previous roles.
He revealed: “This character has a distinct flavour, influenced by both Tamil and Bollywood cinema. It will bring something new and exciting to the screen.”
The teaser of Tagar has already generated buzz with its gripping visuals.
It opens with a chilling scene where a shadowy figure drags a dead body across the floor.
Nearby, a young woman stands frozen in fear, her wide eyes reflecting sheer terror.
The teaser’s suspenseful atmosphere hints at a dark and intense storyline, capturing the attention of thriller enthusiasts.
The film’s screenplay and story were crafted by the AR Movie Network team, with dialogues written by Mamunur Rashid Tanim.
Filming will take place in Chattogram under the banner of AR Movies.
The production team has announced that Tagar is slated for release during Eid ul-Azha 2025.

As anticipation builds, fans are eager to see Puja Cherry and Ador Azad share the screen in what promises to be a thrilling cinematic experience.
However, Dighi’s fans were disappointed in her exclusion.
