“He does not make any sense and looks like he is a cuckoo.”
Mishi Khan has voiced her disappointment over the media’s coverage of the Mustafa Amir murder case.
She criticised media outlets for frequently featuring the father of the prime suspect, Armaghan, and giving him a platform to express his views.
Mishi questioned why the father of an accused individual was receiving so much airtime, stating:
“It’s so sad to see that the father of the murderer Armaghan is being given so much coverage on TV and social media.
“He does not make any sense and looks like he is a cuckoo.”
Mishi Khan emphasised that the media should prioritise responsible reporting instead of focusing on increasing TRP ratings.
Her comments have resonated with the public, with many supporting her stance and calling for more ethical news coverage.
Meanwhile, the murder investigation has taken a new turn as police have uncovered links to drug trafficking involving prominent individuals.
According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Sahir Hassan, the son of actor Sajid Hassan, was arrested for possessing drugs.
During questioning, Sahir confessed to selling narcotics for the past two years, supplying drugs to the murder suspect, Armaghan.
Sahir revealed that he obtained the drugs from dealers named Basel and Yahya.
He was apprehended in Defence Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Rahat, and is currently in police custody under a five-day physical remand for further investigation.
As the probe deepens, authorities are uncovering more details about Armaghan’s criminal background.
Police records show that since 2019, Armaghan has been implicated in several crimes, including terrorism, attempted murder, narcotics trafficking, and extortion.
His criminal activities span multiple areas, including Darakhshan, Sahil, Gizri, and Boat Basin, as well as cases with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
During interrogation, Armaghan admitted to attempting to erase evidence by deleting data from laptops found at his home.
He also confessed to driving Mustafa Amir’s body from Khyaban-e-Momin in DHA to the Daraji area in Balochistan, where it was disposed of.

Investigators further revealed that Armaghan had been operating an illegal software house and call centre from his residence in Gizri.
This setup allegedly defrauded foreign clients of millions of dollars, with profits laundered through digital currency accounts.
With both drug trafficking and financial crimes now part of the investigation, authorities are continuing to gather evidence to build a comprehensive case.
