Armaghan poured petrol over the vehicle and set it on fire
New developments in the Mustafa Amir murder case have been made by the Karachi police.
One suspect named Shiraz, confessed that co-accused Armaghan killed Mustafa over a dispute involving a woman.
The case, which began as a missing person’s report, has now unfolded into a brutal murder.
Shiraz recounted the gruesome series of events that led to Mustafa’s tragic death.
According to police sources, Armaghan lured Mustafa to his house, where he subjected him to three hours of relentless torture using an iron rod.
Mustafa suffered severe injuries, but the ordeal did not end there.
The suspects then transported his unconscious body in his own car from Keamari to Hamdard Chowki and later to Hub.
They intended to dispose of the body far from the crime scene, believing they could evade capture.
They reached a remote mountainous area near Daraji, approximately two kilometres away.
However, when the suspects opened the trunk of the car, they discovered that Mustafa was still alive.
Rather than showing mercy, Armaghan poured petrol over the vehicle and set it on fire, ensuring that Mustafa did not survive.
The suspects then fled on foot, walking for nearly three hours before hiring a driver for Rs. 2,000 to take them to 4K Chowrangi.
From there, they took a rickshaw to Defence before finally taking an Uber home.
The investigation intensified after Mustafa’s disappearance on January 6, 2025, when his mother received a ransom demand, suggesting a possible kidnapping.
However, law enforcement soon realised the case was far more sinister.
Authorities launched an extensive search, with the CIA and CPLC providing crucial assistance.
Forensic teams worked to trace Mustafa’s last known locations, eventually leading to Armaghan’s residence.
On February 8, law enforcement officers engaged in an encounter while attempting to apprehend Armaghan.
The confrontation resulted in injuries to a DSP and two officers, but Armaghan was successfully taken into custody.
During the search of his house, police discovered Mustafa’s mobile phone and bloodstains on a carpet, further linking him to the crime.
DIG Haider revealed that Armaghan, Shiraz, and Mustafa had been childhood friends, attending school together until the seventh grade.
However, their friendship took a dark turn, culminating in Mustafa Amir’s brutal murder.
The motive behind the killing was a heated conflict that escalated into violence, ultimately leading to Mustafa’s tragic fate.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, with forensic teams analysing the evidence to solidify the case against the accused.
