Imran initially leaves Leah waiting at the ceremony
Hollyoaks is set for a dramatic wedding twist as Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) makes a surprise confession to Leah Barnes (Charlotte Alex Riley) that looks set to blow the big day apart.
The couple’s big day has already been overshadowed by secrets, with Leah cheating on him with Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer).
However, Imran has a secret of his own, given that there was someone else he was in love with prior to Leah and that person appears to be his one true love.
He’s been keeping a lid on such a thing ahead of his nuptials, convinced that Leah is the girl of his dreams and thus, in upcoming scenes, the couple prepare for their big day.
Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) caught Leah and Prince together. Imran subsequently became suspicious of their relationship after nearly walking in on them.
Despite this, Leah and Imran’s wedding day eventually arrives.
However, Imran initially leaves Leah waiting at the ceremony, leaving her devastated and Ste (Kieron Richardson) to console her.
Earlier in the day, Leah had confronted Imran about his suspicious behaviour. He explained that he had initially been keen to marry another woman before they got together, which Leah seemingly accepted.
However, Imran’s no-show leaves the future of their relationship uncertain.
Next week’s episodes reveal that Imran does eventually arrive at the wedding after speaking to his sister Yazz (Haiesha Mistry) on the phone.
He and Leah then make it down the aisle, where Leah begins reciting emotional vows about their future together.
She even incorporates Imran’s faith into her vows, making his eventual response even more unexpected.
Rather than reciting his own vows, Imran has a confession to make.
The nature of his confession remains under wraps, but it could have major consequences for his relationship with Leah.
The revelation comes after viewers have already been left wondering about Imran’s secret, following the confession storyline earlier in the summer.
Leah had the opportunity to hear Imran’s original confession but chose not to watch it, meaning she remains unaware of what he has been keeping from her.
There is also another potential bombshell waiting to unfold at the wedding.
After speaking to Leah, Imran is stopped by a shaken Vicky, who Leah had previously urged Prince to look after as her eating disorder continues to spiral.
Vicky (Anya Lawrence) has already become suspicious of Leah and Prince’s relationship, with spoilers previously revealing that she tells Imran she thinks the pair are having an affair.
Prince is also attending the wedding, leaving plenty of opportunity for the situation to become even more complicated.
With Leah’s secret affair threatening to be exposed and Imran finally preparing to reveal his own secret, the wedding could end in anything but happily ever after.
