Former Hollyoaks actor Rizwan Khan has been convicted of raping two women. He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting one of his victims and slapping a child across the face, in separate incidents.

The 40-year-old was convicted of raping his first victim after physically attacking her. He was also convicted of raping another woman after she fell asleep.

A jury at Teesside Crown Court heard she woke up to find him performing a sex act on her.

Prosecutor Robin Turton told the court that one victim recalled Khan telling her:

“I need what I need. I want what I want. You, as a woman, should abide by what a man wants.”

The victim claimed he was violent with her before asking for sex. She told police that he raped her after she said “no”.

She said, “In the end I just let him”, adding that she was scared he would assault her otherwise.

Mr Turton explained: “He forced himself up on her. She kicked him and he got off. He pushed her against the wall and he put his hands around her, strangling her.”

The woman said Khan slapped her face, punched her in the back, then picked her up and threw her on the bed. She told police she ran from the house.

The second victim told police she rejected him when he asked for sex at 3 am. She said she was tired and needed to go to work in the morning.

Despite her refusal, he raped her.

Judge Paul Reid granted Khan conditional bail to stay the night at his home. He is due to be sentenced on October 14, 2025.

Rizwan Khan had played Doctor Peak in Hollyoaks in 2019 before returning in 2020 as a paramedic. He also featured in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

His screen credits also included roles in Vera and Holby City.

Khan also had an uncredited role as a patrol officer in Robert Pattinson’s 2022 superhero thriller The Batman.

His IMDb biography described him as “fervent about fitness” and committed to supporting people with “mental health challenges”.

The profile added: “Moreover, he is dedicated to assisting single fathers in navigating the often complex family court system, providing guidance and advocacy to ensure their rights are upheld.

“Riz is also a staunch advocate for men who have been falsely accused, working tirelessly to bring attention to these injustices.

“Riz’s diverse pursuits reflect his unwavering commitment to personal growth, physical well-being, and making a positive impact on the lives of others.”
