“My son is not a drug dealer, and he is not Mustafa’s killer.”
Pakistani actor Sajid Hasan alleged that his son, Sahir Hasan, was coerced into giving a false confession.
The actor has strongly condemned the police’s handling of the Mustafa Amir murder case.
He claimed that his son was taken hostage and physically abused to force a confession, calling it a “well-planned conspiracy”.
Sajid revealed: “My son was taken hostage to manipulate his testimony.”
Speaking at a press conference, the veteran actor questioned whether these events were mere coincidences or part of a larger plot.
He revealed that this was not the first time his family had been targeted.
His house had been raided twice—once recently and once four years ago in a separate case, which he eventually won.
The murder investigation led to multiple accusations, with Sahir Hasan among those named.
He was accused of supplying drugs to the victim, Mustafa Amir, and another individual named Armaghan.
Sahir reportedly confessed to his crime. However, his father now claimed he was forced into it.
Sajid firmly denied his son’s involvement, suggesting that influential figures might be manipulating the case.
Dismissing the allegations against both Sahir and Armaghan, he argued that the police were distorting facts to create a misleading narrative.
He stated: “My son is not a drug dealer, and he is not Mustafa’s killer.”
The actor also expressed fears for his own safety, stating that the real masterminds behind the case might try to frame him next.
He emphasised that Sahir and Mustafa Amir had shared a close bond, describing them as “brothers”.
His son, he said, wanted justice for his murdered friend, but this pursuit had put his own life at risk.
The ordeal has taken a devastating toll on Sajid’s family.
His wife has developed epilepsy due to the immense stress, while his daughter-in-law and her relatives are also struggling with trauma.
He described the situation as a deeply personal tragedy that has shaken his entire household.
Calling for a fair and transparent investigation, Sajid Hasan urged authorities to look beyond the surface and expose those truly responsible.
Until the real culprits are identified, he asserted, justice will remain out of reach.
The actor added: “This is a personal tragedy for my family, but we will not stop fighting for the truth.”
Previously, Sajid Hasan faced backlash for appearing to support his son.
