Love Island runners-up Jasmine and Kavan have finally addressed the discussion surrounding their age gap and how they really feel about it.
The couple, who found romance during their time in the villa, have faced scrutiny from viewers due to their ages.
Jasmine is 27, while Kavan is 21, and it has led some fans to question whether they are at different stages of life.
One person said: “I think the age difference between Kavan and Jasmine is so apparent.”
Another claimed, “he’s just not on the same wavelength”.
Others defended the couple, suggesting the age gap would not be an issue if Kavan was older.
Speaking to Capital Xtra, Kavan was asked whether he ever noticed the age difference between himself and Jasmine during their time together.
He said: “No. I feel like age really isn’t a thing.
“I feel like the only way she did show her age was in maturity, the way she spoke, the way she held herself.
“For me, that was her showing her age.”
Kavan’s comments echo Jasmine’s previous remarks that she never paid much attention to the age gap between them.

Despite the debate, Jasmine and Kavan appear to be going from strength to strength since leaving the villa.
During an appearance on This Morning, Kavan provided an update on their relationship status.
He said:
“We’re not boyfriend and girlfriend, but I’d say we’re very much in love.”
Jasmine added: “I feel like we’re very near that though.”
Although the pair have not yet made their relationship official, Kavan explained that they are taking their time as they adjust to life outside the show.
He said: “It’s now about coming out, living this part of life together, making sure this part of life works.
“But so far it’s been great, honestly I’ve been loving it. It’s on the way. It’s on that track. We’ve got to be smart here. There’s no point rushing things.”
The couple’s latest comments suggest they remain focused on building their relationship away from the spotlight, despite continued discussion from fans about their age difference.
