political differences should never lead to violence.

A heated confrontation erupted at Adiala Jail’s Gate No. 5 between PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry and barrister Shoaib Shaheen.

It started with a verbal dispute.

According to reports, Chaudhry accused Shaheen of being an agent for intelligence agencies, prompting an angry retort from Shaheen to “mind his own business”.

The argument quickly turned physical when Fawad Chaudhry slapped Shoaib Shaheen, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain an arm injury.

The jail staff swiftly intervened, breaking up the altercation.

Following the incident, Chaudhry proceeded to the jail premises while Shaheen was left nursing his injuries.

PTI lawyer Nadia Khattak, who witnessed the scuffle, condemned Chaudhry’s actions.

She emphasised that political differences should never lead to violence.

Nadia also expressed relief that Shaheen did not suffer more severe injuries.

Meanwhile, PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry was barred from entering Adiala Jail to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan, despite holding legal authorisation.

He was kept in the Deputy Superintendent’s office for two hours before being asked to leave.

Following the incident, Faisal Chaudhry filed a formal complaint against the jail administration, alleging harassment and obstruction of legal proceedings.

He stated that the denial of his access violated judicial orders and underscored the growing restrictions imposed on PTI members and supporters.

Faisal Chaudhry later addressed the media, expressing concern over political victimisation.

He stressed that despite judicial orders, PTI leaders continue to face arbitrary restrictions.

He also highlighted that the denial of access to Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife, was a clear violation of her legal rights.

Chaudhry insisted that such actions do not serve the interests of democracy and only deepen the political crisis in Pakistan.

In other news, former PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat made headlines in the National Assembly by humorously questioning his own removal from the party.

Entering through the treasury benches’ entrance, Marwat questioned: “Why was I removed?”

It drew laughter from government members and a mix of reactions across the assembly.

The Speaker of the National Assembly jokingly warned Marwat to be cautious, adding to the spectacle.

Marwat, who has been vocal about his expulsion, took the opportunity to criticise PTI’s internal policies.

His remarks sparked further discussion among lawmakers, with some government members chanting slogans in support of his cause.

PTI lawmakers, however, remained largely silent, avoiding any direct engagement on the matter.

As political tensions continue to rise, PTI remains embroiled in internal conflicts and legal battles.

The altercation at Adiala Jail and the ongoing disputes within the party reflect the deepening divisions and challenges the party faces.
