Palaash Muchhal Faces Charges Amidst Casteist Abuse Claims f

"He turned out to be a fraud."

Music composer Palaash Muchhal is currently facing a police investigation following allegations of casteist abuse against a former associate.

Authorities in the city of Sangli recently registered the case under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The formal complaint was filed by Vigyan Prakash Mane, who is a childhood friend of cricketer Smriti Mandhana.

This legal trouble follows months of public speculation regarding the cancelled wedding between Muchhal and the sports star.

Mane alleges that the composer used derogatory language during a heated argument at a local toll plaza.

The incident reportedly occurred on the Sangli-Ashta road in the evening of November 22, 2025.

Reports suggest the confrontation began because of a significant financial disagreement involving a film production project.

Mane claims that he lent 25 lakh rupees to the musician to fund a brand new movie venture.

The accuser spoke to the media about the broken promises and the subsequent breakdown of their professional bond.

He said: “He had promised me to complete the film in 6 months.”

The complainant stated that he felt deeply deceived after the project failed to move forward as originally planned.

He said: “However, he turned out to be a fraud.”

Tensions escalated when Mane attempted to recover the large sum of money he had invested in the production.

“When I demanded my money back, he avoided giving it.”

Mane further alleged that Muchhal turned to offensive insults when confronted about the outstanding debt in person.

“When I went to meet him, he abused me by using casteist remarks; I can’t even use them on camera.”

The resident of Sangli expressed deep disappointment with the character of the man he once trusted completely.

“His mindset is very dirty.”

Police have filed the case under multiple sections, including criminal intimidation and intentional insult to provoke peace.

This controversy comes shortly after the highly publicised collapse of Muchhal’s engagement to the famous cricketer.

The couple was originally scheduled to marry on November 23, 2025, but cancelled the event during a medical emergency.

Smriti Mandhana’s father was hospitalised, which led to the sudden postponement of the high-profile celebrations.

Muchhal was also admitted to a Mumbai hospital around the same time, causing further concern among loyal fans.

Rumours began to spread online suggesting that infidelity played a role in the sudden end of the relationship.

The music composer later took to social media to address the intense gossip surrounding his private life recently.

“I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship.”

The artist noted that the constant public commentary on his personal affairs had become extremely difficult to endure.

“It’s been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me.

“It’s the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding on to my beliefs.”

Palaash Muchhal urged the general public to consider the impact of their words before spreading unverified gossip about others.
