“They are the direct victim of inflation, they are overburdened.”
She highlighted the disparity between ambitious infrastructural projects and the fundamental need for reliable internet connectivity.
Mishi continued: “What’s the use of a train that will reach from Karachi to Islamabad in one and a half hours when a WhatsApp message takes too long to be delivered to the recipient?”

“I am shocked and worried about those who rely on the internet for their work like call centres and E-commerce websites.
“How are you guys managing and working in this poor internet?”
“What do you want from us? We only had one facility of internet that we were getting after paying so much of tax.
“Please give us the basic facilities. At least give us the Internet.”
Mishi highlighted the urgent need for improved infrastructure and support for the digital economy.
Moreover, the revelation that platforms like Fiverr have encountered issues with Pakistani freelancers due to various concerns added a layer of complexity.
She added: “I think we are heading towards the stone age when we got the slow internet and it only used to display the loading sign.”
