Is Puja Cherry Joining the Cast of 'Domm'? f

Discussions with Puja Cherry had been ongoing.

Reports from multiple sources suggest that Puja Cherry has joined the cast of Redoan Rony’s upcoming film Domm.

Although neither the director nor Puja has officially confirmed her casting, reports from Channel i say that she has been confirmed for the lead role.

Sources indicate that she may have even signed on to star opposite Afran Nisho and Chanchal Chowdhury in this highly anticipated project.

The role would mark one of Puja’s most significant performances to date, pairing her with two of Bangladesh’s top actors.

Industry insiders revealed in August 2025 that discussions with Puja Cherry had been ongoing for two months.

Although verbal agreements were allegedly reached, Rony initially denied confirming any actress for the lead role.

He explained that his current focus was on finalising the script and selecting filming locations before deciding on the heroine.

In a statement in August 2025, he said: “Before finalising the heroine, we’re focusing more on the story and location.”

He further added that auditions would determine the final choice for the female lead closer to the shoot date.

A representative from the production team also previously confirmed that multiple actresses were under consideration for the role, including Puja.

No official statement has yet been released by Puja Cherry.

However, fans believe that she has already been finalised for the role, pointing to Channel i’s report.

Set for an Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 release, Domm is described as a survival drama inspired by true events.

The film is being jointly produced by SVF, Alpha-i Entertainment, and Chorki.

Director Redoan Rony, returning to feature filmmaking after a long break, described the project as a story of endurance and human resilience.

“Domm is inspired by a true story — a tale of endurance, instinct, and survival.”

He explained that the earlier version of the script had been revised to suit a broader cinematic vision.

“We had a script written before, but now we’re developing the story on a larger and richer scale.”

Rony hinted that the film would explore international connections, though he plans to reveal those details at a later stage.

“You could call it a story of survival. It highlights the strength that lies within ordinary people.”

With such a star-studded cast and ambitious scope, Domm is already shaping up to be one of Bangladesh’s most anticipated releases.
