An Indian bride has gone viral for her rendition of the song ‘Soch Na Sake’ on her wedding day.

Dressed in a stunning pink lehenga, she plays the guitar as she sings along to Arjit Singh and Tulsi Kumar’s track.

‘Soch’ was originally released by Hardy Sandhu in 2013, but later covered by the pair for the 2016 film, Airlift.

Picturised on hero and heroine, Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, the latest rendition was re-titled ‘Soch Na Sake’.

The video was originally shared on Instagram by the bride’s Delhi-based make-up artist, Leena Bhushan.

She added the caption: “My #guitarwaalibride. Comment below if u love her singing.”

The clip has been seen over 205,000 times and netizens responded to Bhushan’s request in their droves.

One person said: “Waoooo, this is amazing.”

Another added: “So beautiful, her voice and her entire look.”

A third wrote: “You rocked it.”

Some tagged the Indian bride and suggested that she had dedicated the song to her husband-to-be.

Other social media users commented with a series of fire and heart emojis to show their support.

‘Soch Na Sake’ has been viewed over 169 million times on YouTube since first being released in February 2016.

Commenters noted that despite the track being years old, they still continue to come back to listen to it.

One person said: “A brilliant song – evergreen forever!”

Another added: “Such a masterpiece. Never become old.”

Someone else summarised: “This song is never going to be old.

“People will come here again n again to enjoy this masterpiece.”

Meanwhile, the original ‘Soch’, has been viewed over 175 million times on YouTube since being uploaded in November 2013.

It comes after another Indian bride and groom recently went viral for their energetic dancing during their wedding.

The groom had been dancing to bhangra music with other family members and although initially reluctant, the bride couldn’t resist joining in after a while.

In it, the couple dance their hearts out with their loved ones before they eventually exchange garlands on stage in front of the wedding guests.

The video, also posted on Instagram, was viewed by over 20,000 people and has received thousands of likes with many reacting with amusement.

Unconventional things happening at weddings have recently become more common in India with another bride and groom going viral for doing push-ups on stage in 2021.
