Pooja needed to sit the final exam of her B.A. degree
In the city of Bikaner in the north Indian state of Rajasthan, a remarkable story of a wedding and dedication to education has emerged.
Pooja and Mahinder got married in a wonderful ceremony on Monday, March 25, 2019.
However, unlike normal Indian weddings where the day is full of celebrations, the bride had made an unusual request of her husband.
Pooja needed to sit the final exam of her B.A. degree which happened to be on the same day of their wedding.
Her husband, Mahinder Kumavad, was completely supportive and happily obliged to make sure she got to her exam in the afternoon after their rituals and wedding vows in the morning.
Pooja who is a resident of Khari Charnan village, in the district of Kolayat in Bikaner, needed to get to Maharani Girls College, where she was studying for her degree.
Mahinder escorted her to the college to make sure she got to her final exam on time.
Pooja then went into the exam room completely in her wedding attire and sat her exam.
She joined the rest of the students taking their paper.
The image of Pooja the Indian bride in all her wedding outfit and makeup sitting an exam shows her commitment to her education as well as her marriage.
Mahinder then waited patiently for three hours outside the college while Pooja was inside doing her exam.
After completing her exam, she came out of the college and the couple were reunited as husband and wife.
They then went with relatives to celebrate the rest of their very unique wedding day with families who also waited for the newly married couple.
Indian weddings are typically full of stress, tension and drama with the bride usually worried about her outfit, her makeup, the ceremony and even the food!
In this case, this Indian bride, Pooja, while getting married, also had the pressures of doing her final exam for her BA degree too!
Simply showing that Pooja is a determined young woman who was ready to multitask on her wedding day. Of course, not forgetting the support of her very considerate husband, Mahinder!
