"My silence seems to have been taken for granted."

Former cricket captain Shoaib Malik has officially denied the social media rumours regarding his supposed fourth marriage.

The veteran athlete shared a stern statement on his Instagram profile to address these widespread and fabricated claims.

He warned that his legal team would take strict action against any individuals or firms spreading misinformation online.

Malik mentioned that unverified stories about his personal life were being written and shared without his explicit permission.

These rumours recently linked his name to a social media influencer while claiming he had married once again.

He clarified that these baseless accusations are causing significant distress to the people he deeply cares about.

The cricketer noted that his young son Izhaan is now at an age where he reads such stories.

He stated: “I’ve always sought to keep my private life private, out of respect for my family. However, my silence seems to have been taken for granted.”

The cricketer expressed his frustration over the negative remarks directed toward his wife, Sana Javed, by online trolls.

He emphasised that her involvement in these non-existent scandals is completely unacceptable to him and his family.

The sportsman stated: “Since my second marriage, people have attempted to tarnish my reputation by linking me to individuals I’ve never met.”

He believes that these false stories are often spread just to gain views and earn small amounts of money.

Malik urged the general public to refrain from spreading any misinformation regarding his personal life or anyone else’s.

He wrote: “As a public figure, I understand scrutiny comes with the support, but there’s a limit. Invading privacy or damaging reputations crosses that line.”

The star reminded everyone that he has a family, just like every other person living in the world.

He said: “Unverified stories about my personal life have been written without my permission.

“People have targeted my wife with negative remarks for the things she was never involved in.”

The legendary cricketer is determined to protect his reputation and the mental well-being of his close family.

He pointed out that there is much more to life than just seeking a few likes and digital views.

The cricketer concluded: “I hope this message is taken positively, and assumptions/jokes about my personal life will stop.

“Failure to do so will result in strict legal action from my team against individuals and firms.”
