"This was never meant for the women or the kids."
The Haryana Police have officially registered an FIR against the popular rapper Badshah over his latest controversial music release.
Authorities are now initiating the legal process to issue a lookout notice against the singer for his song ‘Tateeree’.
This legal action follows serious allegations regarding the visual representation and lyrics found within the viral music video.
The track features girls in school uniforms dancing inside a Haryana Roadways bus while making many highly objectionable gestures.
Badshah recently took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology saying he did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
He expressed deep regret over the pain caused to people.
The singer began his statement by saying: “My new song ‘Tateeree’ has been released and I am seeing that the lyrics and the visual representation has caused a lot of people, especially from Haryana, a lot of hurt.”
The artist emphasised his strong connection to the state by clarifying that his entire identity rests on being Haryanvi.
He stated: “Firstly, I want to say that I am from Haryana. Those who know me will vouch for the fact that my entire identity rests on it. I am a proud Haryanvi.”
Badshah explained that the competitive nature of hip hop often leads to lyrics intended only for his musical rivals.
He clearly mentioned: “I never had the intention or the aim to speak of any women or children of Haryana in this manner.
“I am from the hip hop genre, so the lyrics are often added on to show the competition down, for the competitor.
“This was never meant for the women or the kids. I would never do that.”
The rapper claimed he has always tried to uplift the local culture of Haryana through his various professional works.
He added: “But if this has caused hurt to anyone, I would like to express my heartfelt apology.”
The singer urged the public to forgive him by considering him as a son belonging to the local community.
“I hope that you will consider me as Haryana’s son, your own son and forgive me.”
In his social media caption he further confirmed that the song is being taken off from everywhere immediately.

The Haryana State Commission for Women has also taken cognisance of the song and issued a summons to him.
Complaints were filed by Savita Arya who serves as the president of the Nari Tu Narayani Utthan Samiti group.
Another complaint came from Shiv Kumar who is currently the director of the Shiv Aarti India Foundation in Panipat.
Both individuals alleged that ‘Tateeree’ contains objectionable vocabulary along with several highly sexualized references that objectify women.
They have urged the commission to take strict action against those responsible for content crossing social and moral boundaries.
The single was originally released on March 1 2026 and featured the talented female vocalist named Simran Jaglan.
Badshah himself wrote the controversial lyrics while the music was composed and produced by a professional known as Hiten.
