Ishan Kishan’s personal life came into the spotlight moments after winning the T20 World Cup when rumoured girlfriend Aditi Hundia joined him on the field.
The wicketkeeper-batsman played an important role in India’s title-winning campaign at the tournament, impressing both with the bat and in the field.
India thrashed New Zealand by 96 runs to successfully defend the T20 World Cup.
But after India secured the trophy, Aditi joined Ishan on the field as celebrations unfolded around them.
The pair shared a warm embrace, which was captured on the live broadcast and circulated widely on social media.
Throughout the match, the camera showed Aditi cheering in the stands.
Wearing a red top, she sat beside Komal, the sister of India opener Abhishek Sharma.
Aditi Hundia first gained recognition in the fashion and beauty pageant industry. She was a finalist in Femina Miss India 2017.
In 2018, she won the Miss Diva Supranational title. The victory allowed her to represent India at Miss Supranational 2019.
Following her pageant career, Hundia moved into professional fashion modelling. She has since developed a strong presence on social media.
Her Instagram account currently has more than 343,000 followers. The platform often features her modelling work and lifestyle content.
Born in Jaipur, Aditi completed her schooling at India International School in the city. She later enrolled at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, for higher education.
While studying, she reportedly began taking part in fashion shows and local events.
Links between Aditi and Ishan began circulating during the 2019 IPL when she was seen cheering for the cricketer from the stands.
On social media, she became known as the “mystery fangirl”.
Although Ishan and Aditi have not confirmed their relationship, the cricketer’s grandfather, Anurag Pandey, confirmed otherwise.
He said: “We are ready to accept whoever Ishan Kishan wants to marry. Aditi is his girlfriend. She is a model. One should accept what makes children happy.”
On the other hand, Ishan’s mother, Suchitra Singh, said:
“It’s not about marriage; it is time for him to play cricket. He’s not old enough to talk about marriage.”
“Grandpa is getting a little old. Old people are always a little excited. Something or other keeps coming up on social media.
“He said all this based on what he saw on social media.
“His focus is on Team India matches, performances, responsibilities.
“When he calls, we skip cricket chat – he knows the field best. Let’s celebrate his contributions, not his personal life.”
Although cold water appeared to be poured on the rumours, Ishan Kishan and Aditi Hundia’s closeness will continue to spark discussion.
