This enraged Kashuram, who took an axe and ended up attacking his wife
An Indian man identified as Kashuram, from Udaipur, was arrested on Sunday, May 26, 2019, for murdering his wife.
The 60-year-old allegedly attacked Bhikali, aged 50, with an axe following an argument. She became unhappy with him after she saw him dancing with another woman which is what led to the argument.
The husband and wife had gone to attend a wedding within their neighbour’s family on Friday, May 24, 2019.
Following the wedding was the party. During the party, Kashuram danced with another woman.
Bhikali saw her husband with the woman and it upset her according to the police.
When they returned home, an argument broke out over the suspect dancing with the other woman.
This enraged Kashuram, who took an axe and ended up attacking his wife with it, killing her.
The incident was later reported by the victim’s step-son on Saturday, May 25. Police officers later recovered the body from the house and sent it for a post-mortem.
A case of murder was registered at Panwara Police Station. After the post-mortem, officers handed the victim’s body to her relatives.
Kashuram was arrested on May 26, 2019, and has been remanded in custody.
In another incident, Indian man Ramesh Gaikwad, of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, allegedly murdered his wife after she refused to make snacks for him.
An argument broke out which led to Gaikwad strangling his wife to death with a rope.
A police officer explained that Gaikwad and Mangal used to row over everything.
On March 23, 2019, he asked her to make some snacks and tea for him as he had been fasting.
However, Mangal refused to do what her husband asked and an argument broke out. The woman ended up packing her things and leaving to go to her parent’s house.
Mangal was waiting at a bus stop when Gaikwad saw her and pleaded with to come back home. She obliged and they returned to their home.
But once they got home, Mangal said something to her husband which angered him and he ended up strangling her to death with a rope in a fit of rage.
A police official said: “However, Mangal abused Gaikwad who flew into a rage and strangled her using a nylon rope.”
Gaikwad soon calmed down and realised what he had done. He informed his family about the incident and to Kurundwad Police Station to confess.
Gaikwad was subsequently arrested and booked under section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
