Trisha Krishnan recently took to social media to address controversial remarks made about her by filmmaker and actor R Parthiban.
The actress shared a strongly worded message on her X account regarding comments circulating about her recent public appearance.
This response followed her presence at a reception alongside Thalapathy Vijay, which caught the attention of many online fans.
Trisha criticised the lack of intelligence behind the comments and clarified how her image was used during the event.
She explained that organisers included her name and photo at the last minute because of a specific individual’s request.
“I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant.”
The star expressed deep frustration over the public discussion regarding her professional image and her personal life.
Trisha highlighted that having a microphone does not automatically make a person’s comments humorous or even remotely intelligent.
“A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder.
“Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at.”
Her statement was interpreted as a direct reply to words spoken by R Parthiban during a recent award ceremony.
While looking at her picture, Parthiban referenced her famous role as Kundavai in the blockbuster film Ponniyin Selvan: I. He said:
“This Kundavai should be kept at home for a few days. That’s good. Don’t let her come out.”
These remarks came after images of Trisha and Thalapathy Vijay attending a wedding reception together went viral on social media.
The duo was seen arriving at the venue and greeting the newlyweds on stage while cameras captured every single move.
They later left the premises around the same time, which fueled further speculation among the curious public and media.
The joint appearance occurred shortly after news surfaced that Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had reportedly filed for a divorce.
This timing led to a surge in online conversations regarding the relationship between the two popular actors.
Trisha felt it was necessary to distance herself from the crude narrative that was being built by certain individuals.
