"this kind of joke is never accepted by society."

A complaint has been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Makhija, Samay Raina and the organisers of India’s Got Latent after several crude remarks were made on the show.

The controversial comments were made by Ranveer Allahbadia, who is also known as BeerBiceps.

He caused a shock with his inappropriate question to a contestant.

Masked as a joke, Ranveer asked:

“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to end it once and for all?”

His fellow judges erupted in laughter.

Ranveer also asked another contestant to perform oral sex on him in exchange for Rs. 2 Crore (£184,000).

However, his remarks sparked widespread backlash.

Former National Commission for Women (NCW) chief and Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma said it was “very shocking”.

She said: “I think whether it is a female or a male, this kind of joke is never accepted by society.

“Making jokes about a mother or a female’s body doesn’t look good, and somewhere, it shows how today’s youth has stooped down to such a level morally.”

Watch the Video. Warning – Offensive Language

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said:

“I have come to know about it. I have not seen it yet… Everyone has freedom of speech but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others.

“In our society, we have made some rules, even for vulgarity, and if someone violates them it is absolutely wrong and action should be taken against them.”

A complaint was soon registered by the Mumbai commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, alleging that abusive language was used on the show.

The complainant has demanded strict legal action against the accused.

The complaint highlighted the seriousness of the incident and its harmful impact on women’s dignity.

A letter read:

“I want to bring to your attention a deeply disturbing matter.”

“These individuals have intentionally made obscene remarks about women’s private parts to gain popularity and profit.

“Such actions have caused significant harm to women’s honour and must be addressed.”

The complainant demanded immediate legal action against the organisers of India’s Got Latent and called for the show’s broadcast to be stopped.

They urged authorities to file criminal cases under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and register a First Information Report (FIR) against everyone involved in the incident.

Mumbai Police have now started an inquiry into the controversy on India’s Got Latent.

Meanwhile, Ranveer has broken his silence on his comments.

In a video on X, he said: “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it was also not funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry.

“Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, obviously! This is not how I wish to use it.

“I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened, I am just here for this apology.

“I personally had a lapse of judgement, it wasn’t cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages and I don’t want to take the responsibility of being the person who takes, that responsibility lightly.

“Families are the last things that I want to disrespect. Need to use this platform better, that has been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to just get better.

“I have also asked the makers of the video to remove the insensitive portions and all I can say in the end is that I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me as a human being.”
