"Something has gone off, you are here."

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan joined the panel of Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Season 2 in the show’s latest episode, generating significant buzz.

He appeared alongside comedian Sharon Verma, comedian Nishant Verma and 12th Fail actor Medha Shankar.

Clips from the episode spread rapidly across social media, with several moments from Varun’s roasting session drawing laughter.

Samay Raina wasted no time in taking shots at Varun, opening with a pointed remark about the calibre of stars appearing on his show.

Samay said: “I have got such big stars after the FIR – Alia Bhatt and now Varun Dhawan, the show keeps going down.”

Varun took the roasting in good spirit throughout the episode, laughing even as the jokes landed squarely at his expense.

He shared that he is a genuine fan of the show but admitted that he watches it alone, which itself prompted more playful commentary from the host.

Varun also acknowledged that he had anticipated something unexpected happening during his appearance on the famously unpredictable show.

Samay responded to that admission by saying: “Something has gone off, you are here.”

Sharon Verma also joined in on the roasting, referencing a notable statement Varun had made about his most talked-about films.

She said: “I am a big fan of you Varun. My favourite performance is when you said ‘Dilwale is like Inception.'”

Varun responded by clarifying that the comparison to the Christopher Nolan mind-bender had been an attempt at humour.

The episode also featured a fun segment in which a contestant asked the panellists to pick a number between one and five.

Varun chose one, stating simply, “I like 1,” which immediately gave Samay the perfect opening for his next jibe.

Samay seized the moment and aimed for Varun’s recent release Border 2, saying:

“Why did you spoil Border 2 then?”

Varun defended the film and pointed out that it had performed commercially.

Samay then asked Varun to name his last film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

He playfully changed the film’s name to “Hai papa director toh actor toh hona he hai,” a pointed reference to Varun’s father, filmmaker David Dhawan.

The reimagined title drew one of the loudest laughs of the entire episode.

Varun Dhawan’s willingness to laugh at himself throughout the episode has been widely praised by fans.

Many are calling the episode one of the season’s most entertaining outings so far.
