some labelling the content as "vulgar and unacceptable".
Influencer and content creator Apoorva Mukhija has been at the centre of controversy following her appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent.
The episode, also featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, went viral for its explicit language and crude remarks, sparking a debate over what crosses the line in comedy and content creation.
During the show, Ranveer posed an inappropriate question to a contestant:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it?”
He also asked another contestant that if she performed oral sex on him, he would give her Rs. 2 Crore (£184,000).

Much of the backlash was directed at him but some pointed out that fellow panel member Apoorva Mukhija was equally to blame.
Apoorva was seen laughing at the comment and even contributing to the conversation.
In another segment, one contestant was discussing vaginal sensation.
Apoorva crudely responded: “Have you seen a vagina since exiting your mother’s?”
While the panellists found the comment funny, the remark triggered huge backlash.

Viewers accused her of promoting indecent behaviour instead of calling out the offensive language.
The criticism escalated as clips from the episode surfaced on social media.
Many called for Apoorva and the show’s creators to be held accountable, with some labelling the content as “vulgar and unacceptable”.
Apoorva has catapulted into the spotlight for the wrong reasons but who is she?
Apoorva, who hails from Noida and studied at Manipal University Jaipur, first gained fame during the Covid-19 pandemic with her viral Instagram rants about everyday struggles.
Known for her bold and unfiltered content, she quickly amassed a significant following—currently boasting 2.6 million followers on Instagram and 500,000 YouTube subscribers.
Online, she is known as The Rebel Kid and it is this name that has helped Apoorva become one of the most sought-after influencers in India.
This has led to collaborations with top brands such as Google, Nike, Amazon, Meta, Swiggy, and Maybelline.

In 2023, she expanded her career by making her acting debut in the web series Who’s Your Gynac.
Despite her success, controversy seems to follow Apoorva.
Recently, she was involved in a heated altercation at Delhi Technological University, where she confronted hecklers in the audience.
Video clips of the incident went viral, with many praising her for standing her ground, while others criticised her aggressive response.

Following the India’s Got Latent controversy, co-host Ranveer Allahbadia issued an apology on social media:
“I personally had a lapse in judgement… Wasn’t cool on my part.
“The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t want to take that responsibility lightly.”
Apoorva, however, has yet to comment on the backlash.
Known for pushing boundaries, her content continues to spark debate about the fine line between bold humour and indecency in India’s growing influencer space.
Meanwhile, a police complaint has been registered and Mumbai Police have begun inquiries.
