Indian Killer of Girlfriend confessed on TV and Arrested

An Indian man has been arrested after confessing to killing his girlfriend on a TV show. The man was arrested on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

The victim had been murdered on the night of December 31, 2019. Her boyfriend was a suspect throughout the investigation, however, police were unable to find his whereabouts.

He eventually went to a TV studio and confessed on a news programme.

Police witnessed the accused admitting his guilt and went to the studio. They subsequently arrested him.

The victim was identified as 24-year-old Sarbjit Kaur, while the accused was named as Maninder.

Sarbjit’s body was discovered on January 1, 2020, in a hotel room in the city of Chandigarh. The victim, who worked as a nurse, was found with her throat slit.

A murder investigation was launched by police.

During the investigation, police found that Sarbjit had visited the hotel with a young man named Maninder.

They established that Maninder and Sarbjit were in a relationship and that Maninder was the last person to see her alive. After he was nowhere to be found, police named Maninder as a suspect.

Maninder remained on the run until January 14 when he decided to visit the office of a TV news channel. He explained that he had something important to reveal.

The news anchor started her interview and Maninder admitted killing his girlfriend.

As the show was broadcast, police went to the TV studio and arrested the man.

It was revealed that Maninder murdered his lover as he suspected her infidelity. He stated that he visited the hotel with Sarbjit to celebrate the new year.

However, Sarbjit received a call from another man, which led to an argument between the couple.

Maninder said that the row became so heated that he strangled Sarbjit until she went unconscious. He felt that she would alert the police as soon as she regained consciousness.

He then took out a knife and slit her throat. After waiting for 15 minutes, Maninder left the hotel room.

It was revealed that he was responsible for killing his previous girlfriend in 2010. He had also suspected her infidelity.

Maninder was arrested and appeared in front of a court.

He was convicted of her murder but challenged the decision in the High Court.

Maninder was then released on bail. He has remained on the run ever since.

He told police that he always kept a knife so that if he was identified by police, he could use it against them and escape.
