she paid them Rs. 1.6 Lakh to carry out the murder.
An Indian wife was arrested for having her husband killed. She had hired her lover’s gang to carry out the murder.
The incident happened on October 25, 2019, in the city of Jamnagar, Gujarat.
The murder case came to light when an injured man was found by the side of a road. He was taken to hospital where he later died during treatment.
Doctors discovered that his injuries suggested that he had been harmed.
Police officers investigated and found that his wife and her lover were responsible. She had enlisted the help of her lover’s friends after paying them Rs. 1.6 Lakh (£1,700).
The prime accused was identified as Shabana while the victim was named as Harun Kasambhai Babwani.
On the morning of October 25, 2019, a passerby found Harun by the side of a road in an injured state. He was immediately taken to hospital.
After succumbing to his injuries, doctors suspected foul play and contacted the police.
Police questioned his wife, however, her statements were inconsistent which made them suspicious. After reviewing CCTV footage in the area, they noticed a dubious vehicle which indicated that the victim was murdered.
Shabana was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning where she admitted arranging her husband’s murder.
She told officers that while being married to Harun, she had been having an affair with a man named Shahid for four years.
The Indian wife explained that she wanted to be with her lover but when her husband found out, he was enraged.
She came up with a plan to kill Harun so that she could be with Shahid. Shabana met with her lover to arrange for her husband to be killed.
After being told about Shahid’s gang, she paid them Rs. 1.6 Lakh to carry out the murder.
Shahid’s three accomplices were identified as Ajay, Sagar and Raish.
On the day of the attack, Shabana had laced her husband’s food with sleeping pills which eventually made him go unconscious.
The four men then tied a cloth around his mouth and put him in their vehicle.
They drove to an isolated area where they brutally beat him with metal bars, leaving him seriously injured.
Following the assault, the four men dumped his body by the roadside and drove off.
The discovery of Harun’s injured body and his subsequent death led to doctors suspecting that he was killed. CCTV footage of the gang’s car led to their arrests.
