"it has to happen organically and for the right reasons"
Vicky Kaushal revealed if he would be open to starring in a film with his wife Katrina Kaif.
The couple have been married since 2021 but they have never shared the big screen together.
Speaking about the possibility of a collaboration in the future, Vicky said he would love to collaborate with Katrina but it has to happen “organically”.
He said he is aware that fans are curious to see the couple in a film and added that they are waiting for the right script.
Vicky explained: “We would love to see ourselves in a movie together.
“But it has to happen organically and for the right reasons, not just because we are together and that there’s a curiosity about watching us in a film together.
“I feel, when you organically fit the bill, in a real sense, that this is a perfect cast and that’s when it should happen.
“I believe it will happen soon. I hope it happens soon.”
Vicky also shared how he and Katrina like to spend time together.
He said: “Mostly when we are travelling, we love to go out for walks and cafes. Otherwise, when we are at home, we just watch some TV and have some good food.”
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the most popular Bollywood couples.
The pair were rumoured to be dating for some time but they never confirmed the dating reports.
They made their relationship public when they got married in Rajasthan in December 2021.
Their wedding was very secretive and it included a ‘no phones’ policy and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Shortly after the wedding, the new husband and wife took to their respective Instagram accounts to share pictures.
Both wrote: “Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment.
“Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together.”
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal’s The Great Indian Family was released on September 22, 2023.
Also starring Manushi Chhillar, the film revolves around Pandit Bhajan Kumar, who experiences an identity crisis.
Ahead of the film’s release, Vicky said:
“It is a celebration of our family values, our diversity.”
“It is all said in a way, which is not like where we are trying to teach or preach you something.
“It is said in a way that is entertaining. It will make you laugh, it will make you feel good about being part of the Indian family and culture.”
Since its release, it has struggled at the box office, collecting just Rs. 6 Crore (£590,000).
