Sara Ali Khan has invested an undisclosed amount in men’s and women’s apparel brand The Souled Store which plans to continue to expand both online and offline.

The Souled Store currently retails its licensed apparel and casual wear online and in its five stores and plans to open more offline retail outlets moving forward.

Sara Ali Khan’s investment in the brand follows its Series B funding round in 2021 when the business raised money from a group of investors led by Elevation Capital, ET Bureau reported.

Talking about the partnership, Sara Ali Khan said:

“Being an ardent pop-culture lover, and a firm believer in originality and comfort being as important as fashion, I see the brand as a perfect fit to invest in.

“I look forward to being part of the TSS family.”

Sara also opened up about her style and approach to fashion: “Fashion for me is an expression of myself.

“I like to keep it simple and quirky, my wardrobe will have tones of breezy cotton kurtas or athleisure, in neon or colour-block, comfy dresses, crop tops and shorts.

“As a person, I don’t really like to adhere to fashion rules or anything, I just like to have fun in whatever that I am wearing.

“TSS’s collection is exactly that, their product ranges are very similar to my choices, and you will definitely see me more in those.”

The Souled Store’s co-founder Rohin Samtaney said: “Her quirky and experimentative styling best reflects our brand image.

“We couldn’t have found a better investor and partner.

“We expect this collaboration will lead to great things together.”

The Souled Store retails a wide range of licensed apparel and accessories with recent collections featuring the logos for The Batman, Friends, and Powerpuff Girls.

The brand holds 180 licenses from businesses including Disney and WWE enabling it to use the businesses’ logos on its products.

In other news, Sara has been linked to Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s extortion case.

According to reports, Sara told the Enforcement Directorate that she did not know anyone by the name of Sukesh Chandrasekhar or Shekhar.

Instead, Sara knew someone in the name of Suraj Reddy who “did WhatsApp her saying he would like to gift her a car as a family gesture and mentioned that his CEO had tried to contact her.”

She further said that Suraj continued to insist on giving her gifts and she constantly refused the same.
