"I will draw your blood and snatch freedom."
Prabhas fans have received the ultimate birthday gift as the makers of Fauzi unveiled his first look and a powerful teaser on the actor’s 47th birthday.
The makers also officially confirmed that Fauzi is now scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2027.
The two-minute and thirty-one-second teaser offers a thrilling and visually striking first glimpse into Prabhas’s larger-than-life character.
The film appears to be set in the pre-Independence era, with Prabhas playing a fierce soldier based in Kolkata.
The soldier is willing to go to any lengths to protect his motherland.
The teaser introduces him as “India’s biggest rebel soldier,” wanted since 1932, immediately establishing the scale and historical weight.
From blazing guns and high-octane action sequences to intense confrontations with colonial forces, the teaser promises an electrifying cinematic experience.
One of the most memorable and powerful moments in the teaser comes toward the very end through a chilling and defiant voice-over from Prabhas himself.
He says: “Hey, you Britisher, I will draw your blood and snatch freedom from you, too.”
The line immediately establishes the rebellious core of the character and the ferocity with which he pursues the country’s liberation from colonial power.
The first look video hints strongly at a period action drama packed with patriotism, rebellion and deeply personal confrontation.
Prabhas steps into the shoes of a soldier who has become a thorn in the side of colonial rulers.
His fight for independence is portrayed as both political and intensely personal.
Earlier in the day, the makers had also unveiled a poster offering a glimpse into the film’s evocative period setting.
The poster features a golden coin bearing Prabhas’s profile in a military uniform, surrounded by flames that emphasise his defiant spirit.
It carries the striking tagline, “A Battalion Who Fights Alone,” alongside the words “Most wanted since 1932.”
The imagery and language of the promotional material collectively position Fauzi as one of the most ambitious patriotic period dramas.
Fauzi is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, a filmmaker known for his ability to craft emotionally resonant and visually distinctive narratives.
The film is backed by the powerhouse production banner Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films.
Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Bhushan Kumar are jointly producing the film.
The combination of Prabhas’s enormous pan-India star power with a period patriotic setting has immediately generated significant excitement.
