Charithra Chandran’s Bold Look unveiled in One Piece Teaser

The teaser for season two of Netflix’s One Piece was released and it provides a first look at Charithra Chandran’s bold look.

Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for One Piece season two, giving fans a glimpse of Charithra Chandran’s dramatic new role.

The Bridgerton star, best known as Edwina Sharma, trades her Regency gowns for a blue ponytail as she steps into the role of Nefertari Vivi, also known as Miss Wednesday.

The live-action anime series will return in 2026 and has already been renewed for a third season.

According to the synopsis, the new season features “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet”.

It continues: “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line, a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn.

“As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”

Fans have already reacted to Charithra’s transformation in the August 10 teaser, which has gained over four million YouTube views.

One wrote: “I’M SO HYPED.”

Another said: “I’ve never smiled non-stop as I did for this trailer with any other trailer before.”

A third added: “As a One Piece fan, who is caught up with the anime, this makes me proud and excited for this season.”

Joining Charithra in the new cast are Brendan Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, and Lera Abova as Nico Robin, also known as Miss All Sunday.

American actor Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is best known for his role as geneticist Mohinder Suresh in the NBC sci-fi drama Heroes, will play Nefertari Cobra.

The One Piece live-action series, adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s globally acclaimed Manga, debuted in 2023.

It follows Monkey D Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his Straw Hat Pirates crew on their quest to find the legendary treasure, the One Piece.

The series spent eight weeks on the Global Top 10, reaching No. 1 in over 75 countries.

The show has nearly 100 million views and is one of Netflix’s most downloaded shows of all time.

One fan summed up the mood:

“Teasing season 3 is in production during a season 2 first look is diabolically wonderful.”

With Charithra Chandran taking on one of the Manga’s most beloved princesses, season two of One Piece is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases.
