"This is it. This is why I came."
Saif Ali Khan has turned his viral Kaun Banega Crorepati ghee moment into a full brand deal.
He recently starred in a hilarious Gowardhan Ghee advertisement.
The actor shared the advertisement on his Instagram profile, leaning into the joke that had made him a meme sensation.
The ad begins with Saif declaring during a mock Instagram Live session that he absolutely does not want to talk about the ghee brand.
His fans in the video refuse to let him off the hook, continuing to tease him about whether he has finally received his two-year supply of ghee.
One fan delivers one of the advertisement’s best lines, quipping:
“From aura farming to dairy farming.”
Others suggest that the only reason he even joined Instagram in the first place was because of the ghee.
The ad reaches its comedic peak when Saif accidentally turns his camera around to reveal hundreds of bottles of Gowardhan Ghee.
Embarrassed by the revelation, he hastily asks his staff to close the door before turning back to his fans.
He urges them to move on to more interesting topics.
The ad ends with a thoroughly exasperated Saif shutting down his live session, saying:
“Leave me alone. Stop asking me for the ghee. Go check out the offer yourself. I am done.”

The entire advertisement is a self-aware and brilliantly executed piece of content marketing that plays directly into the viral narrative.
The original moment that started it all came during Saif’s appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati with Akshay Kumar.
The two had come to promote their film Haiwaan.
When Amitabh Bachchan announced that correctly answering the tenth question would win them a two-year supply of Gowardhan Ghee.
Saif’s reaction to the announcement was priceless: “Wow, what?”
His reaction prompted Akshay Kumar to dissolve into uncontrollable laughter at his co-star’s genuine excitement.
When Amitabh repeated the offer, Saif remarked: “This is it. This is why I came.”
The line was clipped, shared and memed extensively across the internet.
The saga continued when Saif appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Kapil Sharma read out a fan comment claiming that Saif had joined social media because of his excitement about winning the ghee.
Saif was quick to address the theory and also took the opportunity to drop a reveal that delighted the audience even further.
“I just want to clear one thing. I haven’t even received the ghee yet.”
This drew loud laughter from both Kapil Sharma and the studio audience.
The Gowardhan Ghee advertisement cleverly resolves the narrative by showing the delivery has clearly arrived at Saif Ali Khan’s residence.
