Indian Couple Tortured and Abused by Family for Affair

An Indian couple was subjected to inhumane torture and abuse from their family after they found out about their alleged affair.

The incident happened in the village of Nimbi Jodha, Rajasthan. Two people connected to the abuse were arrested on September 17, 2019, after a video of the incident went viral the day before.

In the video, a young man and woman are being physically abused by their relatives.

The woman was grabbed and had her hair cut off, she was then brutally beaten. Meanwhile, the lover was forced to drink urine.

When police officers received information about the case, they arrived at the scene. The investigation eventually led to two people being arrested.

It was discovered that the incident happened at a house in Dhani, Nimbi Jodha.

Police officers found out that the Indian couple were related. The woman is believed to be the man’s maternal aunt. Both had allegedly been having an affair for a number of months.

Around 10 days before they were tortured and abused, the supposed lovers had eloped.

However, they were caught and when their family found out about the affair, they decided to take matters into their own hands.

The family members never alerted the police after they disappeared. Instead, they searched for the man and woman themselves.

After locating the lovers, the family members took them back to their house and subjected them to a horrific beating.

Both victims were badly beaten, suffering cuts and bruises as a result.

The woman then had her hair cut off before being beaten again. The man also had his hair cut off, but he was soon forced to drink urine and had soot forced into his mouth.

At the same time, the incident was filmed and it later went viral, gaining the attention of the police.

The video circulated online on Monday, September 16, 2019, but the police reportedly ignored the matter until 4 pm when they decided to take action.

The two suspects were taken into custody while the investigation continues. Police officers are working to arrest others who were responsible for the violent attack.

Both the man and woman have been kept in a location under police supervision. The two victims were also taken to a hospital for a medical examination.

Officers learned that the man is originally from Pali, Rajasthan, but spends most of his time in Nimbi Jodha with his grandfather.
