Four men have been jailed after kidnapping a 21-year-old man from his front door before tying him to a chair and torturing him in what a judge described as an attack driven by “perceived family honour”.
The victim was targeted after beginning a relationship with the sister of two of his attackers.
The masked gang abducted him from his home in Telford, Shropshire, on December 29, 2025.
After bundling him into a car, they took the victim to a storage container where he was assaulted. They later demanded a £20,000 ransom from his father.
Shayyan Hussain, Faheem Chohan, Ehteshan Hussain and Jawad Hussain, all from Telford, admitted kidnap at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
Jawad Hussain was jailed for seven years while his co-defendants were each sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
Judge Trevor Meegan said the kidnapping had been motivated by “perceived family honour” and was not carried out on “impulse”.
He found that Ehteshan Hussain and Shayyan Hussain “occupied a leading operational role” and carried out most of the planning. Faheem Chohan and Jawad Hussain both “willingly participated” in the kidnap and assault.
The judge added: “This was a deeply troubling offence of abduction and abuse of a young man to terrify and degrade him.”
Prosecutor Jack Guise told the court the victim had been targeted after entering a relationship with the sister of Ehteshan Hussain and Shayyan Hussain.
The court heard the brothers “did not approve” of the relationship.
Before the kidnapping, one of the defendants allegedly confronted the victim with a baseball bat.
The court also heard there had been several incidents in which cars drove past the victim’s home or followed him as he travelled to work.

On the afternoon of the kidnapping, the victim was at home with his mother while an electrician carried out work at the property.
At around 2:18 pm, a black Audi A4 stopped outside the house.
Three masked men forced their way inside, pushed past the electrician and seized the victim before dragging him outside and placing him into the boot of the car.
His mother was knocked to the ground as she tried to stop the attackers.
A fourth masked man drove the Audi away while the victim’s legs hung from the open boot.
The group travelled to a storage facility in Eyton, Shropshire, where Ehteshan Hussain had leased a secure shipping container.
Inside, the victim was stripped, tied to a chair and repeatedly punched.
Mr Guise said the “torture” continued as the men filmed the assaults and forced the victim to apologise on camera to his partner’s father.
The attackers later left him alone in the “pitch black”, still bound to the chair, before abandoning the Audi.
They then contacted the victim’s father and demanded £20,000, warning that otherwise his son would “not be coming home”.
Police later located the abandoned Audi after it was reported by a member of the public.
Investigators were also able to identify the suspects after a video showing the victim being tortured was sent to one of the defendants’ phones while he was in police custody.
The victim eventually escaped after being placed back inside the abandoned Audi, which had been left with the keys in the ignition.
He drove to a nearby takeaway and sought help.
He suffered a fractured eye socket, rib injuries and bruising to his hands and arms.
In a victim impact statement, he said he now “rarely leaves the house”, adding the “kidnap has changed my life”.
