Adidas Originals has announced the opening of its first exclusive store in Gurugram.
The pioneering sportswear brand’s first company-owned Originals store is located in Gurugram’s Ambience Mall.
The store spans more than 3,500 square feet and contains a wide selection of trainers as well as sports and casualwear.
The launch of the store featured promotions and customer-centred activities, that were socially distanced to comply with Covid-19 guidelines.
Adidas released a press release announcing the store’s opening on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Adidas said:
“With the launch of this new exclusive Adidas Originals store in India’s millennium city, the brand aims to further propel the sneaker culture and street style fashion game in the National Capital Region to an all-new level.”
Trainer collections inside the new Adidas Originals store include the brand’s previous collaborations with Kanye West, Beyonce and Pharrell Williams.
The store also celebrated the launch of its new sustainable Stan Smith trainer.
Adidas Originals announced the launch of their newest shoe on Twitter.
In a tweet from Thursday, April 1, 2021, they said:
“Style meets sustainability in the latest Stan Smith sneaker.
“Featuring a PRIMEGREEN upper made with 50% recycled content, the iconic silhouette is now truly timeless.

Each pair of Stan Smith trainers is also designed with a Disney, Pixar, Star Wars or Marvel character.
With the opening of their new store, Adidas Originals are aiming to make their brand more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Therefore, the store has also implemented its own sustainability initiative.
With a scannable QR code at its entrance, it encourages customers to recycle a plastic bottle on the premises.
In return, they get the chance to win a selection of prizes.
The design of the store itself acknowledges the artistic elements of Gurugram and features in intricate art piece of the city’s skyline.
A line-drawn map of the city is also inside the store, providing the international brand with a local twist.
Adidas Originals has previously chosen India to launch new elements of their company.
Back in 2017, Adidas Originals opened its first store dedicated entirely to footwear in New Delhi’s Khan Market.
The store’s design follows the brand’s “neighbourhood” concept, and its 450 square foot space features only premium merchandise from Adidas Originals.
The store also opened with the aim to become the prime trainer destination for young people.
