After six years of working together, Huda Beauty and Kayali are officially parting ways.
The beauty world was met with the news on February 18, when sisters and founders Mona and Huda Kattan shared an emotional Instagram reel announcing the change.
While Kayali launched in 2018 under the Huda Beauty umbrella, it will now operate independently.
This separation marks a significant shift, but neither brand is going anywhere.
Instead, they are evolving as separate entities, allowing each to grow in its own direction.
Kayali will now partner with global growth equity firm General Atlantic, with Mona continuing as CEO.
Speaking about this transition, Mona expressed her excitement, stating: “This is an incredibly exciting moment for Kayali.
“From day one, my mission has been to create a fragrance brand that inspires confidence, creativity and self-expression.
“As we transition into an independent company, our partnership with General Atlantic will unlock new opportunities, expand our global presence, and continue disrupting the fragrance industry with bold innovation.”
Huda echoed this enthusiasm, sharing her pride in Mona’s journey.
“This is such a pivotal moment for Kayali, and we are very excited for the next chapter of Mona and Kayali’s journey,” she said.

Mona also took to Instagram to share her emotions about the move, posting: “I’m still soaking it all in! @KAYALI is officially independent!
“This has been years in the making, and I’m beyond excited for what’s next!”
