“Ibrahim seems prepared for a career in acting."
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has revealed that his son Ibrahim Ali Khan has aspirations to delve into an acting career in Bollywood as he confirms that he “is prepared for a career in acting.”
Previously, there has been a lot of questions surrounding Ibrahim’s career choice. Earlier, Saif had said that he wants his son to complete his university education before he thinks about acting.
Speaking to Spotboye about his son’s acting aspirations, Saif Ali Khan revealed:
“Ibrahim seems prepared for a career in acting. And why not? I’d like all my children to be in this profession. It is the best place to work in.”
Saif Ali Khan recalled the state he was in when he was a teenager and the impact acting had on his life. He said:
“I remember at 17-18 I was a mess. Acting saved me from self-destruction.
“Having the job, the sense of identity it has given me and the job satisfaction and the enjoyment it has given me are more than I could ask for.”
Previously, Saif was asked whether he would launch Ibrahim’s acting career. He explained:
“I don’t know if I will launch him. It’s an option and films are certainly a viable career choice for him. He’s sporty and likes the idea of being in the movies rather than pursuing an academic job.
“No one in the family, with the exception of his sister (Sara Ali Khan), have been interested in the latter anyway.”
Sara Ali Khan is already enjoying her Bollywood career. She made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with the film, Kedarnath opposite the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
With a handful of films under her belt, including Simmba (2018) and Love Aaj Kal (2020) the actress has more projects underway.
These include Coolie No. 1 opposite (2020) Varun Dhawan and Atrangi Re (2021) alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush.
Sharing his advice for Ibrahim, Saif Ali Khan said:
“It’s a different universe now, with different benchmarks.”
“I would tell him to be well prepared and choose his films carefully.”
Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan are Saif’s children with his ex-wife Amrita Singh. The actor also has a three-year-old son named Tamiur Ali Khan with his current wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The couple is expecting their second child together. Kareena is expecting to have her baby in 2021.
