Saif Ali Khan has discussed his views about the potential Bollywood career of his son Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Belonging to the Pataudi family (Indian dynasty of nawabs/princes) Saif is an established A-list actor.

The family comprises of multi-talented individuals such as Saif’s sister, Soha Ali Khan and daughter, Sara Ali Khan.

It comes as no surprise that there have been talks about Ibrahim delving into the world of Bollywood.

According to E Times, Saif disclosed his thoughts regarding Ibrahim’s career. He believes if his son wishes to aspire to become an actor then he should do on his accord. Saif said:

“I think you know if he does films he should do his own film and have his own career without the baggage of just me.”

Saif continued to state potential types of films Ibrahim could act in. He added:

“He should probably do something like Salaam Namaste (2005), Hum Tum (2004) or something in that kind of space. I suppose maybe Omkara (2006) or Parineeta (2005) too.

When asked about Ibrahim’s possible debut film, he said:

“I am not sure about the kind of film he should debut with. Maybe something like Race (2008) or a rom-com. I don’t know, I can’t think.”

Ibrahim shares a close relationship with his father and looks to him for guidance. He stated:

“There are scenarios where people, whether it’s an old relative, my mother or a family friend tell me, ‘Oh my god, you’re just like him (Saif) and he does that too!’

“I guess maybe we are similar but I wouldn’t know that. But regardless, he is special to me.

“He is also my guide when it comes to man-to-man conversations.”

Meanwhile, Saif has proved his versatility as an actor. He has appeared in different genre films such as portraying a comic role in Dil Chahta Hai (2001) to a villain in Omkara (2006).

Saif is on a promotional run for his latest film, Laal Kaptaan which released on October 18, 2019.

The film follows a Naga Sadhu (Saif Ali Khan) on a journey filled with revenge, deception and drama. On the first day of release, the film accumulated Rs 50 lakh at the box office.

Despite there being no confirmation of Ibrahim’s Bollywood debut, speculations have been soaring high. We look forward to finding out what is in store for the young nawab Ibrahim.
